The small, very ripe berries come from vines that are over 50 years old from the steepest slate vineyard in the Maximiner Klosterlay. They bring dense, deep and exotic fruit flavors with a slight saltiness. The grapes are selected harvested. According to old tradition, they are spontaneously aged in a wooden barrel. The wonderful interplay of highly ripe fruits, high minerality and wonderfully integrated acidity produces interesting and exciting wines every year.
