About us

The vineyard »Graf von Weyher« is based in the famous Pfalz (Palatinate), which is the second largest wine growing region in Germany. The family business can trace its roots back to 1788 and is famous for its award-winning Riesling.

Four very different, mineral-rich soils are the basis for their high-quality terroir-wines (granite, lime stone, colored sand stone, slate). Their characteristic Riesling wines range from a light, uncomplicated taste to a fully aromatic, intensely complex experience.

But the youngest members of the family, the brothers Jürgen & Peter, have gone a step further: With unparalleled vision, they have managed to combine traditional methods with modern wine growing techniques. The result?

Their vineyard was one of the first three companies world-wide to grow naturally sustainable wine plants, in close cooperation with the famous Swiss grape geneticist Valentin Blattner. This new wine was christened Cabernet Blanc and has now started its success tour across the globe.

Products & Services

We specialize in two important areas:
a. high-quality terroir Riesling with four different soils: slate, lime stone, granite, colored sandstone
b. sustainable wines: development of new varieties.

We have received the award 'pioneer of sustainability' in 2020, 2021, 2022 for our Cabernet Blanc.

We are looking for import partners to grow and spread the word for a better and tasteful future.

Cabernet Blanc

A sustainable wine, newly developed in 1991 in Germany, extremely resistant against mildew and draught – but most important: with an excellent summery taste. In 2021, it has received one of the most prestigious German awards (Gold Extra Price of the DLG).
We were one of the first three wineries to grow this wine and have received the award »Pioneer of Sustainablility« in 2020, 2021 & 2022.
The Cabernet Blanc is a trendsetting wine that will help the globe without making compromises in quality.

The »Riesling Kabinett« from our German winery »Graf von Weyher« has received a multitude of national and international awards, particularly the highest possible international accolade: The gold metal in the competition »Best of Riesling« for the vintage 2012.
This world-chamption is a light, semi-dry Riesling that charms the palate and is a perfect partner for food pairings. Enchants with the fragrance of citrus fruits and a light sweetness. One of our proudest achievements.

Muskateller

A sweet wine for happy moments and mellow summer nights: The Muskateller is another award-winning white wine from the winery Graf von Weyher. Our vintage 2016 has received the award »Best bouquet wine of Germany« from the German Wine Institute. It convinced with its round sweetness, combined with a hint of mandarine and elder flower.
A bouquet wine is defined by an intense & full aroma. It is a classic when paired with sweet desserts – and a particular highlight with spicy dishes!
