About us

MEJS. Three wineries. One vision. For 25 years.

Making good wine is a given for many wineries – and for us as well. What truly sets us apart, however, is how and with whom we make it. Behind MEJS stand three independent wineries from Germany that have been producing wine together for 25 years. A partnership grown from friendship, trust, and a shared vision.

What makes this exceptional: we combine the quality and personal character of traditional wineries with the strength of a unified presence. Each winery contributes its own signature, experience, and sense of origin. The result is wines with true character – just as you would expect from a family winery. Through our collaboration, we are also able to offer this quality in larger, reliable volumes, without compromising on ambition or standards.

For a quarter of a century, we have stood together through good times and challenging ones alike. Three wineries, one shared path – and the conviction that true quality is born from collaboration.

Villa Tabernus Riesling

This Riesling has a fruity aroma of apricots and candied citrus fruits. Wonderful expression on the palate: fruity yet dry, with pleasantly integrated acidity. A beautiful balance of freshness and juiciness. An enticing finish with hints of white peach.

This Riesling comes from carefully tended vineyards in the Palatinate region along the southern Wine Route, close to the French border. This region is considered one of the warmest and most fertile in Germany, producing incredibly fruity and juicy wines that embody the zest for life of this charming landscape at the foot of the Palatinate Forest.

Villa Tabernus Pinot Gris

A true spectacle full of joyful and exotic aromas! Juicy pineapple, refreshing coconut, and delicate lychee notes accompany this Pinot Gris. The finish reveals a hint of nuts and cashews.

On the palate, the pleasure continues with a creamy style, impressive volume, and a strong finish. The impressions of nutty aromas are repeated on the palate, along with a fruity profile of tangerine and orange, complemented by counterbalancing, subtle bitter notes. Its alcohol content deliberately acts as a flavor carrier.

In the vineyard, the winemakers uncompromisingly rely on elaborate, handcrafted techniques, and in the cellar, they give the wine time to mature optimally. A wine for a pleasurable experience!

Villa Tabernus Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir prefers slightly cooler regions, which is why it thrives in Germany. At our wine estate, this internationally popular grape variety is mostly aged in 500-liter oak barrels. The gas exchange allows the Pinot Noir to mature delicately. On the nose, there are aromas of elderberry, plum, and dark fruits. Juicy and inviting. On the palate, you'll find the wonderful coolness that defines this grape variety, giving the wine not only elegance but also freshness and grace. A delight for enthusiasts, offering great value for money.
