About us
We are a family-run winery now in its third generation. Our vineyards and estate are located in the Nahe region of Rhineland-Palatinate, in the beautiful village of Wallhausen. Bordering directly on the Soonwald forest, we are the last wine-growing community in the area and, due to our location, are considered a cool-climate region.
Our diversity of soils is unique within German viticulture. This geological variety—including slate, quartzite, porphyry, and volcanic rock—allows for highly nuanced, mineral-driven wines and is unparalleled in German winemaking.
Our Wines are fun. They range from uncomplicated and straightforward to playful and fruit-driven, all the way to complex wines with real depth. We make wines for every moment in life and every time of day.
Meticulous, small-scale craftsmanship goes without saying—precise and inspiring. We work hand in hand as a family and as a team; every opinion counts. Because only when we are satisfied can we truly convince you.
Alongside our partnerships with Norway and the Netherlands, we have been exporting to Kobe, Japan, since the 1970s. Over the decades, this long-standing relationship has grown into a bond marked by friendship, collaborative exchange, and mutual respect.

Loriini Blanc
The Loriini is a light, aromatic white wine crafted from a blend of Cabernet Blanc and Müller-Thurgau. It opens with expressive aromas of ripe passion fruit and delicate jasmine blossom, offering a fragrant and inviting bouquet. On the palate, pronounced gooseberry flavors take center stage, framed by vibrant acidity and a precisely balanced, crisp sweetness, resulting in a focused, harmonious, and beautifully structured wine.
Räuberball Pinot Grigio
This Pinot Gris shows a harmonious and well-balanced character, combining freshness with depth. The 70% stainless steel aging preserves clarity and vibrant fruit, revealing aromas of ripe pear, apple, and a hint of citrus, complemented by subtle floral notes.
The 30% fermented in older barrique barrels add an extra layer of complexity without overpowering the fruit. Delicate nutty nuances, a touch of vanilla, and gentle spice round out the aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is juicy and creamy, with a well-defined structure, elegant acidity, and a long, harmonious finish.
A versatile Pinot Gris with character — approachable yet refined, perfect with delicate fish dishes, white meats, or simply enjoyed on its own.
Schnalle Peter Pinot Grigio
This single-vineyard Pinot Gris expresses a strong sense of origin and impressive depth. Fermented entirely in older oak barrels, the wine gains structure and complexity without overt oak aromas dominating the profile. On the nose, it reveals ripe yellow fruit such as pear and quince, complemented by nutty notes, subtle herbal spice, and a hint of smokiness.
On the palate, the wine is dense and powerful yet precise, with finely integrated acidity and a creamy, well-textured mouthfeel. Extended lees contact and the gentle use of oak contribute to depth, tension, and a long, mineral-driven finish.
A serious Pinot Gris with clear terroir expression and aging potential
Stargazer Sekt extra brut
This extra brut sparkling wine made from Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir impresses with precision, depth, and elegance. The extended lees aging shapes its character, giving the wine a fine, persistent mousse and pronounced aromatic complexity.
On the nose, delicate brioche and yeast notes are complemented by ripe apple, pear, and a hint of citrus zest. Subtle nutty undertones and a cool, mineral freshness emphasize its refined style.
On the palate, the sparkling wine is taut, dry, and precise. The Zero Dosage allows the pure structure and expression of the grapes to shine through: lively acidity, a fine creamy texture, and a long, purist finish create tension and excellent drinkability.
Sauvignon Blanc
This Sauvignon Blanc is light, fresh, and easy-drinking, perfect for immediate enjoyment. On the nose, tropical fruits such as passion fruit, pineapple, and yellow peach take center stage, complemented by subtle herbal and green notes.
On the palate, the wine is lively, juicy, and light-footed, with refreshing acidity that enhances drinkability. It is clearly structured, approachable, and vibrant, without losing freshness or character.
Cuvee Cabernet
This red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Cortis impresses with depth, elegance, and structure. The 18-month aging in French oak provides a harmonious integration of tannins and subtle oak nuances, without overshadowing the fruit.
On the nose, dark berries such as cassis and black cherries unfold, accompanied by fine spice notes, a touch of tobacco, a hint of vanilla, and characteristic green bell pepper. Subtle toasty aromas add further complexity.
On the palate, the wine is powerful yet smooth, with well-integrated tannins and elegant acidity that give length and tension. The finish is long, spicy, and intense, reflecting both its terroir and careful maturation.
Würzer Kabinett
This Würzer Kabinett presents itself as a light, aromatic, and approachable white wine, fully expressing the unique character of the Würzer grape. Würzer is a cross between Gewürztraminer and Müller-Thurgau, bringing together rosy, delicately spicy nuances on both the nose and palate, along with the typical fruitiness of a Kabinett wine.
On the nose, ripe yellow fruits such as apricot and mirabelle plum unfold, complemented by subtle honey, rose, and spice notes, giving the wine its charming, aromatic character.
On the palate, the wine is juicy, and harmonious, with a gentle sweetness balanced by lively acidity. The fruit and rosy-spicy nuances continue into the finish, creating a fresh and elegant conclusion.
