Bruno of Cologne, founder of the Carthusian Order, left a lasting legacy. The monks of the former monastery, founded in 1335, inscribed his name in large metal letters on its façade—a symbol that still inspires us today in facing our daily challenges: steep slopes, slate soils, and meticulous handcraft.
Our grapes thrive on the steep slopes of the Mosel and Ruwer, rooted in sparse slate soils with optimal inclines.
To preserve the delicate aromas nurtured by the vines, we harvest all grapes by hand, apply gentle pressing, and practice minimal intervention in the cellar. What we invest, however, is something essential: time. Patience and time are the key ingredients in viticulture, pressing, fermentation, and aging. We avoid fining, allow natural sedimentation, and add only a touch of sulfur.
Riesling. Slate. Mosel.
This wine bursts with intense fruit, featuring juicy vineyard peach, white grapefruit, hints of pineapple, and sweet, exotic nuances. On the palate, it remains fruit-driven yet effortlessly light, perfectly embodying the classic style of a Kabinett wine, where fruit, acidity, and sweetness are in perfect harmony. A joyful wine—pure, vibrant, and irresistibly refreshing.
