About us

Weingut I Kirchscheidungen I Unstrut

The Weingut Klaus Böhme is located in the idyllic Unstrut Valley in Kirchscheidungen. The farm can look back on 300 years of agricultural use.

For three decades, the family has been dedicated to viticulture on the Unstrut. The vineyards are at home alongside the Unstrut. On 18 hectares, a wide variety of individual sites are cultivated in harmony with nature. Shell limestone soils are the center of the wine spectrum and produce delicate wines.

Joining Forces I Viticulture is a Mission for Generations

Ina Paris and Klaus Böhme established the winery in Kirchscheidungen. The motivation for them and the following generation, Luise Böhme, is to recognise and preserve the peculiarities and potential of the different sites.

The result are authentic wines whose identity is defined by the interplay of soils, vine age, exposure and climate.

2022 Weißburgunder Lagenwein Rappental

Selected grapes come from the Rappental, the soils are characterized by a high proportion of shell limestone. This interplay of terroir is reflected in this single-vineyard wine. Golden yellow reflections in the glass, with a rich fruit nose of pear, apple and quince. A reductive mineral nose continues, almost reminiscent of flint. A few herbal nuances resonate, but overall it remains very straightforward, delicate and fine.
