About us
Weingut Hauck is a family-run winery with Jana Hauck and her father Heinz Günter Hauck at the forefront, supported by the rest of the Hauck family and a handful of long-time, dedicated team members.
We foster and cultivate vines on about 30 hectars located in the beautiful rolling hills and the heights of Rheinhessen. To ensure the highest quality possible, we dedicate a lot of time and manual labor into growing our grapes, which results in wines with fruit and minerality, balance and finesse.
We focus on Riesling, Silvaner and the classic white burgundy grape varieties Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay. However, since we're curious people, we couldn’t resist planting some exotic varieties: we also grow Auxerrois and Albariño. Our red varieties mainly consist of Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
We are undogmatic in what we do and care about sustainability. For us, this means working in a future-oriented way. This is why we try keep our carbon footprint as low as possible, and as humus is the biggest carbon reservoir of our planet, our goal is to enhance our vineyard soils by biodiverse greening and needs-oriented soil cultivation.

Products & Services
Our identity grape varieties are: Riesling, Silvaner and the Burgundy grape varieties (Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay) and Pinot Noir. Our wines grow in the heights of the Rheinhessen hills which are characterized by limestone and cool climate. Our wines are fresh, elegant and characterized by limestone soil. We focus on highest product quality with a great price-performance ratio.
2024 Riesling "Alte Reben" / Bermersheim Klosterberg
This dry, classic example of Riesling comes from the over 40-year-old vines of the Bermersheim Klosterberg. The old vines give the wine its concentrated aroma without compromising its youthful lightness. On the nose, the Riesling is very fragrant, fruity and also somewhat floral. On the palate, there are notes of apricot, green apple, orange blossom, lemon zest and lime juice. The hint of saltiness testifies to its origin: limestone. The balanced interplay between acidity and a very fine, natural residual sweetness makes this Riesling a wine with plenty of juiciness, elegance and sophistication.
2023 Pinot Blanc / Bermersheim Klosterberg
Great example of a Pinot Blanc grown on limestone in cool climate - aromas of warm, ripe stone fruit, melon and some minerality. A hint of vanilla hovers over the fruit. Melting on the palate, dry, nutty and floral notes with fine, mild acidity and a finish with mineral traces.
The Bermersheim Hildegardisberg site is characterized by loamy loess on limestone - ideal for rich Burgundy wines! After an extended maceration period, fermented for the most part in stainless steel and to a lesser extent in untoasted tonneaux (French and Austrian 500-liter oak barrels). Aged on the lees for 6 months before bottling.
Riesling brut (sparkling wine)
The finesse-rich, expressive Riesling Sekt Brut, produced using the méthode champenoise (traditional bottle fermentation), offers exciting sparkling wine enjoyment. On the nose, an animating Riesling fragrance of fresh apple peel, citrus notes and sun-kissed nectarine. On the palate, a very fine play of acidity, aromatic, profound spiciness and minerality, fine creaminess, wonderful complexity, finesse and elegance. An excellent Riesling sparkling wine with class.
2021 Pinot Noir Réserve / Ensheim Kachelberg
This Pinot Noir is deep ruby red in the glass. The bouquet is delicate and multi-dimensional, with cherry and plum aromas interwoven with vanilla, liquorice and pine forest notes. The noblesse of the Pinot Noir continues on the palate. This Pinot Noir is silky and velvety, with a ripe aroma and tannin structure and pleasant, cooling acidity. Aromas of plums, cherries, blackberries in dialog with thyme, pine and present wood spice. Good texture and substance. Long finish.
2022 Riesling late harvest / Bermersheim Klosterberg
This Riesling Spätlese is made from vines that have been growing on limestone soils for about 40 years. These old vines give this wine its concentrated aromatic structure without restricting its youthful lightness.
The bouquet is very aromatic, showing notes of summery stone fruit such as peach and apricot as well as some honey and fig aromas. On the palate, this Riesling shows notes of blossom honey, lemon juice, dried apricots and orange blossom. Medium-bodied with a beautiful acid structure, very juicy style. The balance between residual sugar and refreshing acidity makes this wine a very typical example of a Rheinhessen Riesling Spätlese with lightness and complexity at the same time. Medium finish. Drink now or store for up to 5-10 years.
